IAMAI, through it’s IAMAI Startup Foundation, is working on creating awareness among Startups about the interesting initiative of IAMAI-Mobile10X. This one of a kind initiative focuses on mobile app driven ventures. They work with startups to improve the UX of their apps. They further work with them to test their apps in different geographies and networks. They take their expertise a step further and connect them with interestingnames and investors in their relevant industry.
IAMAI-Mobile10X is working with state governments in many parts of the country. This being the case, they can charge a nominal fee for their expertise.
Jitender Minhas, the CEO of IAMAI-Mobile10X, retired from the army to pursue an MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. After completing his MBA, he worked as a consultant on companies in the US and UK. His next step was to join an incubator as its CEO and he started mentoring startups since then. He is now heading IAMAI Startup Foundation (Mobile10X) as its Chief Executive Officer.
Simply put, IAMAI-Mobile10X is a platform that works with startups and entrepreneurs to create better looking and functioning apps for their products. A majority of the Indian population is connected to the internet using their smartphone. This means that companies looking to connect with an Indian audience would be in a better position of getting it done through mobile interfaces and apps. The founding patrons have curated this programme in unison to educate, engage, evangelize and enable app developers in the country.
The Vision to 10X the mobile app ecosystem on 3 fronts

- the Quantity (No of Developers). From 50k to 500k.
- the Revenue. From present 1000 Cr to 10000 Cr.
Currently, Mobile 10X has startup hubs in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Gurugram which includes app testing facilities, design labs, co-working spaces, play zones and monetisation zones. In total they house about 60 startups in their hubs.
They organise events within their hubs and outside as well to facilitate networking and bring in new talent. Over the course of their existence, they have exited 23 companies.

As far as funding goes, the program connects companies to investors. They organise events that bring in a lot of angel and venture capital investors to their hubs and connect them with the companies within. Startups get a chance to pitch to them and in turn could end up receiving funding.
